Who We Are

Centurion Benefits is an independent employee benefit consulting firm providing quality health and ancillary insurance consulting along with professional customer service. Our team of professionals work with clients to identify, control and monitor the direct impact of employee benefit costs.

Gerard Rosato is a co-founder of Centurion Benefits and has been in the employee benefits industry since 2006, the last five as a principal at Centurion Benefits. Prior to founding Centurion Benefits, Gerard was a senior producer at a Pennsylvania based Insurance Agency. Gerard’s focus has always been in employer sponsored benefits plans, working with employers of varying sizes with employees across the country.

Gerard’s focus at Centurion Benefits is in the guidance and growth of the company in the midst of significant industry changes. Of significant interest to Gerard is working with companies to understand the Affordable Care Act and its impact on both employers and enrollees.

Gerard is committed to the idea that employers that offer a health and welfare plan have an obligation to provide the best plan possible for their employees. By following a “best practices” philosophy, a plan sponsor can truly create a plan of excellence.

Gerard is a member of the Abramson Cancer Center Leadership Council and manages an annual event to benefit the Living Well after Cancer program at the Abramson Cancer Center. The Program is a partnership with LiveStrong and funded in dedication to Sarah Rosato.

Don Barbuto is a partner at Centurion Benefits. Don has 35+ years of experience in health care and risk management that includes a key role at Independence Blue Cross. Prior to Centurion Benefits, Don was a partner in a national employee benefits firm. Don also founded a nationally recognized utilization management company in the late 90’s. Don has also been involved in the formation of various managed care systems including PPOs, EPOs, PHOs and IPAs. Don is also a Certified Healthcare Underwriter.

Don’s focus at Centurion Benefits is on larger employer groups, with particular interest in using predictive modeling to manage risk, and the use of technology to manage, collect and interpret data that leads to cost savings.

Don serves as a trustee on several boards including Holy Redeemer Health System, Hospital and Healthcare Association of Pennsylvania, Junior Achievement, Boy Scouts of America, Archdiocese of Philadelphia Catholic Committee on Scouting, Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce, St. Eleanor’s School Board and HealthWorks Academies.
Account Executives
Kim Law: Kim is a Specialist for Centurion Benefits and has been in the Employee Benefits field since 1996. She handles account management for clients ranging in size from 50 to 250 employees. She serves as the primary client contact for marketing, benefit administration, service and open enrollment. Kim handles lines of coverage including medical, dental, Life/AD&D, Disability and Voluntary/Worksite products. She is also responsible for client education regarding COBRA, FSA/HRA/HSA and Healthcare Reform. Prior to coming to Centurion in 2014, Kim was an Account Manager for a regional brokerage firm.

Kim strives to provide excellent service to her clients and assist in the ongoing education that is required by the constantly changing insurance industry.

Gina Cherney: Gina is an Account Manager at Centurion Benefits. She has been in the Insurance Industry in both Property Casualty and Employee Benefits since 1994 and came to Centurion from a national insurance firm. Gina specializing in Self-Funding clients. Her client base currently ranges from as few as 50 employees to well over a thousand. She is the primary contact for all day-to-day activity which includes handling all claims issues, carrier invoice and billing, employee questions, open enrollment, client education in Healthcare Reform and other trending topics. Gina has her Pennsylvania Insurance Producers License in Health & Life Insurance, Disability, and Annuities.

Outside of work, Gina is happily married with two children, and loves to be very active on sports boards, school associations and in her church ministry. Always willing to give a helping hand, Gina thoroughly enjoys volunteering her time to good causes, and being a part of her local community.

Heather Bowers: Heather has been with Centurion Group since 2011. Prior to that she was an executive with an investment advisory and group benefits organization in Reading, Pennsylvania. Heather holds her Pennsylvania Insurance License in Life, Health and Variable Annuities. As a member of Centurion’s client service team, Heather works with vendors and represents clients on behalf of the firm. She considers it her responsibility to create a first-class experience for all of our clients.

Heather received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Kutztown University in 2000. She resides in the Reading-area with her husband and two children.

Centurion’s Wellness model is designed to address individual client needs instead of using a “one size fits all” approach. Our process includes:
  • Assessment: We examine your organization’s profile and goals to build a program that leverages available services with the results of our health risk assessment (HRA) and biometric screenings in order to provide a solid baseline of information to formulate immediate and future programs.
  • Customized Intervention Program: Participants in our Customized Intervention Program receive highly engaging personalized coaching sessions throughout the year, addressing their specific clinical and lifestyle related risk factors. Each participant’s program and goals focus on the combination of his or her total physical, mental, and emotional risks.
